Nike SB ‘Freddy Krueger’ Dunk Low

UPDATE- From what we understand, the Freddy Krueger Nike Dunk SB shoes will never be "officially" released. There seems to be some licensing problems between New Line and Nike. For now, you can pick up some HIGH Quality replicas on eBay HERE I personally have a pair of these and they are very good quality just like real Nike Dunks.

As a part of Nike Dunk SB “Horror Pack”, Freddy Krueger is set to be release this November.
Freddy Krueger is originally from A Nightmare on Elm Street and the shoes feature a sweater material colored and striped in Freddy’s classic Red/Green colors, a Metallic Silver Swoosh that represents Freddy’s Metal Claw Glove, and a Brown leather blood stained trim that represents Freddy’s trademark hat. Drop your linen and start your grinin'.

Not only is Nike doing the Horror thing but Reebok is getting in on some Bloody Action as well. Although not the first we’ve seen, Reebok is set to release their very own horror character inspired pack for Halloween 2008. Among the characters transcending from the silver screen into the sneaker world are Freddy Krueger, Jason Voorhees from Friday the 13th and Chucky along with his Bride. Each sneaker panel correlates directly with various characteristics portrayed by the character such as the denim seen on the Ventilators referring to Chucky’s overalls, the perforated heel cup signaling Jason’s iconic hockey mask and the cut marks on the leather heel cup of the Alien Stomper sending fearful thoughts of Freddy Krueger. No word yet on the release date.

First up we have one of the illest combos on a Ventilator..the CHUCKY shoe! Featuring denim direct from Chucky's overalls, the lining and tongue taking inspiration from his sweater and the red patent Reebok stripes from the deadly doll's own patent sneakers he adorned. Be sure to peep the sock lining for the crazy eye feature! And remember, always beware if you hear the line " Hi, I'm Chucky. Wanna play?"

Next up is the insane Jason Voorhees Friday the 13th ERS 2000 Reebok, featuring the infamous hockey mask that we all freaked out on back in the 80's (and which made a resurgence at Melbourne's Favela 14) on the heel panel and the speckled red on the rear mid sole depicting the bloodshed that Jason inflicted on many an unsuspecting model turned actress in all 11 films! The tough dark denim toe box and upper is also reminiscent of the hard yakka type workman wear that the villain used to rock.

Leaving the best for last is the Freddy Krueger Alien Stomper complete with Black and Red striped T-shirt material accents wrapped around Freddy's glove like brown leather upper. Obviously Freddy has marked this shoe with his approval, from the scratch marks all along the uppers and heal panels, along with the dopest feature of all, the gum sole. Taken directly from the last scene in Nightmare on Elm St 4 where Freddy Krueger is burned alive by his surviving victims, and mid melt, all those that had died by his blade like fingers appeared to crawl out of his skin...another horror classic moment!
